The 2026 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), co-hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, will officially run from September 9 to 13 at the permanent CIFTIS venue in Shougang Park, Beijing. This edition of CIFTIS has reached a record high in international participation and industry innovation density. As of August 2026, nearly 70 countries, regions and international organizations including the United Kingdom, Denmark, Brazil and Australia have confirmed their on-site exhibition presence. More than 740 enterprises and institutions have signed up for offline exhibitions, among which over 300 are Fortune Global 500 corporations and leading industry players.
Core Arrangements of This Year’s Event
- Dual Guest of Honor Settings: Norway, this year’s Guest of Honor Country, will operate a 260-square-meter national pavilion at Shougang Park, showcasing its cutting-edge achievements in marine industry, digital services and healthcare sectors. Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the Guest of Honor Province, will present its development results in digital services, cross-border e-commerce and traditional Chinese medicine services under the theme “Beautiful Guangxi · Trade Links the World”.
- Groundbreaking New Zones: The event has launched three first-ever special zones. The Overseas Service Enterprise Exhibition Zone gathers more than 30 professional service providers covering finance, law, accounting, advertising and human resources, delivering one-stop full-chain services for global enterprises expanding into new markets. The supporting Overseas Service Promotion Roadshow series has nearly 40 themed sessions scheduled. The new Frontier Exhibition Zone of Future Medical Technology, located under the Health and Social Services Themed Exhibition, displays the latest application scenarios of AI-assisted diagnosis and treatment and digital transformation of traditional Chinese medicine.
- Dense Innovation Achievement Releases: Over 80 leading institutions including Alibaba, Schneider Electric, GE Healthcare and Merck plan to collectively unveil more than 180 cutting-edge innovative outcomes across artificial intelligence, healthcare, green low-carbon and other high-growth sectors.
- Rich Themed Zones and High-level Activities: 9 professional themed exhibition zones are set up, covering telecommunications, computer and information services, financial services, cultural and tourism services, education services, sports services, transportation and business services, engineering consulting and architectural services, health and social services, as well as environmental and energy services. More than 190 forums, negotiation and promotion sessions will be held throughout the event, including 16 high-profile themed forums such as the Trade in Services Development Forum and the 2026 Global Trade in Services Entrepreneurs Conference. The flagship Global Trade in Services Summit will also take place, drawing attendance from Chinese and foreign leaders and heads of major international organizations.
- Immersive Supporting Experiences: More than 70 public-oriented supporting activities are arranged, including consumer markets, artistic performances, sports events and interactive experiences such as the 2026 High-quality 15-minute Life Festival and Industrial Comedy Week. The 5-day event adopts differentiated opening arrangements for different visitor groups:
- Professional Visitors Days: September 9 to 11, open exclusively to adult industry practitioners aged 18 and above
- Public Open Days: September 12 to 13, open to all visitors including minors
The official ticketing system was launched on August 10, and all reservations must be completed through official channels. Foreign visitors can follow the step-by-step guide below to finish registration smoothly:
- Prepare Required Documents in Advance: Get your valid original passport ready, which is the only accepted identification for foreign visitors’ reservation and on-site real-name verification.
- Select Formal Reservation Channel: Access the official ticketing system via the official CIFTIS website, mobile official website, official WeChat account, dedicated APP or WeChat mini-program. You can also find event updates and official reservation entrances through the Ministry of Commerce’s dedicated Trade in Services platform.
- Choose Target Ticket Type: For professional visitors days, you can select the single-day ticket priced at 20 CNY, or the 3-day pass priced at 50 CNY covering all 3 professional days. For public open days, you can select the completely free public reservation ticket.
- Fill in Real-name Information: Select “Passport” as your ID type, and accurately enter all personal information that is fully consistent with the details on your passport. If you make group reservations for other foreign visitors, you need to fill in the independent passport information for each attendee separately.
- Complete Reservation and Confirm: Finish the payment process for professional day tickets to generate a valid reservation order; for public open day free tickets, you will receive the official reservation voucher immediately after submitting your information. - On-site Admission Reminder: You are required to present the original passport you used for reservation at the entrance for real-name verification. Screenshots, photocopies or other alternative identity documents will not be accepted for admission.
All visitors are reminded to complete the reservation at least 48 hours before your intended visiting day, as the online reservation channel will automatically close 24 hours before the event session, and no on-site temporary reservation or spot ticket sale is supported.
