2026 China Computational Power Conference to Convene in Langfang Sept. 11–13, Spotlighting AI Infrastructure Buildout

August 12, 2026 (InvestinChina.asia) – The 2026 China Computational Power Conference (CCPC) will be held from September 11 to 13 in Langfang, Hebei Province, under the theme “Weaving the Computing Power Network Together, Ushering in a New Intelligent Future,” according to an announcement from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

The gathering arrives at a pivotal moment: a Politburo meeting in April directed the construction of six national infrastructure networks, with the computing power network formally included as a strategic pillar. As artificial intelligence demand surges and computational needs climb exponentially, computing power has become a core battleground for major economies worldwide.

A “1+2+X+Y” architecture

Anchored at the starting line of the 15th Five-Year Plan period, the conference will adopt a “1+2+X+Y” framework — one opening ceremony, two main forums, X breakout sessions and Y featured events — designed to cover the full chain of computing infrastructure buildout, core technology breakthroughs, industry deployment and ecosystem cultivation.

Running alongside the conference, the “Computing China · AI & Computing Power Industry Expo” will open to the public free of charge, featuring dedicated zones for Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei collaborative achievements, computing infrastructure and ecosystem, inclusive computing services, and AI industry applications.

Four defining highlights

Organizers outlined four signature features for this year’s edition:

Authoritative guidance. The conference will release key policy directions and special reports on the computing power industry, providing an authoritative compass for sector development. A series of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei collaborative events — supply-demand matchmaking and technology sharing — will debut regional synergy achievements and unlock industrial and policy dividends.

Frontier innovation. For the first time, the conference will host a “Computing Power First-to-Market Release” event, with technology and industry tracks showcasing breakthrough domestic computing chips, intelligent agents and green computing solutions. More than ten specialized breakout sessions will delve into artificial intelligence, embodied intelligence, compute-electricity coordination, space-based computing power and the token-based new economy, probing the path from “building” computing capacity to “using” it effectively.

Industrial pragmatism. Multi-tiered supply-demand matchmaking and tech roadshows will be staged, with national-level industrial funds and venture capital institutions engaged to drive financing connections and accelerate the commercialization of quality computing projects.

Inclusive sharing. All exhibition areas, public forums and thematic sessions will be free to the public, breaking down industry silos and allowing citizens, tech enthusiasts and grassroots entrepreneurs to engage directly with frontier technologies.

Langfang: a computing power hub

The host city of Langfang sits on the frontline of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development, serving as a core carrier zone with distinctive industrial and geographic advantages. Its urban computing power sub-index has ranked first in China for two consecutive years.

The China Computational Power Conference — widely regarded as the sector’s weathervane, innovation incubator and ecosystem builder — is a provincial-ministerial joint conference led by MIIT in partnership with local governments. It has been successfully held for four consecutive editions in Shandong, Ningxia, Henan and Shanxi.
